Our Story

In the beginning...

SPACE + THYME is the creation of husband and wife team, Chris and Penny, 
who after getting engaged and starting to research suppliers for their wedding,
were shocked at the astronomical prices many suppliers were quoting when the 'w' word was used.
At the time both were running successful Brighton pubs and kitchens and decided it was finally time to realise a long-term dream of owning their own events company and branching out from pubs.  Their combined business and hospitality experience meant that they were confident putting their hand to most sectors of the industry.

After years of “talking” about it a plan was formed and the name SPACE + THYME was chosen. They drafted in good friend Natasha Coverdale, Designer & Art Director of Studio Coverdale and together created the brand and cemented the company values. 

And so, in a 'big bang' moment, SPACE + THYME was born!
By doing this they were also able to keep event costs for their big day significantly down and would go on to offer the same fair pricing to others looking for quality catering, bar and event services for their own special events and other occasions. 

Since its creation in 2015, SPACE + THYME has gained a stellar reputation for exceptional catering, friendly and professional staff and services and have catered at a wide range of events.

These include weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, launches, corporate networking, pop-ups and supper clubs, Christmas parties, summer parties and BBQ's as well as large outdoor events like the Brighton Marathon, music concerts, cultural and music festivals.
