Spotify Artist’s Lounge
The 14th annual Great Escape music festival that showcases up-and-coming artists from a variety of musical genres rolled into Brighton once again from the 9th to the 11th May, welcoming more than 300 bands across 30 venues.
Spotify hosted an artist’s lounge in a contemporary New York-style loft apartment in the centre of town where musicians could find some respite from the buzz of activity taking place across the whole of Brighton to network and hang out with fellow musicians, enjoy a relaxing massage and sharpen up their look with a complimentary haircut.
They could also tuck into some delicious homemade SPACE + THYME cooking and enjoy a cool cocktail or two. We catered a brunch, lunch and late afternoon food service each day using compostable food packaging, cutlery and napkins produced from sustainable materials while the bar offered a variety of drinks including cocktails ranging from Bloody Mary’s and Rhubarb Tom Collins that were also served in compostable cups.
The lounge welcomed around 300 musicians each day with a separate cocktail and canapé reception held on the Friday evening for movers and shakers in the music industry where we served:
Pork Rilette with Sage Chutney on a Dried Apple Disc
Juniper + Lemon Cured Salmon on Blini
Cucumber + Pine Nut High Tea
Josh Connolly from Convex Productions
who was the main organiser of the event and managed the lounge said, “It was a pleasure working with SPACE + THYME. The team gelled with our crew immediately and the Spotify clients were impressed by their professionalism throughout the four days. Not to mention AMAZING food and cocktails. The menu was excellent and our guests did not stop complimenting what was on offer. Great estimates on portions too. Looking forward to working with the team again in 2020!“
Thanks Josh! We had a brilliant time working with you and the rest of the team on this event! See you again next year!
