Brighton & Hove welcomes a new Mayor!

Councillor Lizzie Deane is the new Mayor of Brighton and Hove having been elected at the Annual Council meeting in May this year.
A welcome reception for Mayor Deane was held at the stunning Royal Pavilion last Friday, attended by representatives from local businesses, Aldermen, Freemen, fellow Councillors, former Mayors and local charities and was an opportunity for the new Mayor to be officially welcomed in her new role.
Mayor Deane shared her vision for the future of Brighton & Hove as well as introduced the guests to charities that are close to her heart, while guests enjoyed a selection of drinks and canapés:
CANAPÉS
Parma ham on homemade roast garlic + rosemary focaccia with tomato chutney
Sun-dried tomato + roast pepper bruschetta on homemade focaccia and baby basil (vg)
Mushroom, spinach + truffle arancini with truffle crumb (vg)
*
DRINKS
White wine
Prosecco
Bellinis
Non-alcoholic Sparkling Elderflower
Sparkling mineral water
Before the event ended, guests were invited on a mini tour of the Pavilion, offering a fascinating insight into what life in the King's 'pleasure palace' was like 200 years ago.
This was also our first event at the Royal Pavilion as one of their new preferred suppliers so we were thrilled that Mayor Deane kindly agreed to pose for a quick photo with our team. See if you can spot the difference in the before and after photos below...

We look forward to working with the wonderful Royal Pavilion & Museums Trust team on many more events and we wish Mayor Deane all the best as she undertakes her duties in this important ceremonial role in and outside the city!
