We’re absolutely dedicated to providing the very best in hospitality, whether that be in the best pubs and bars in Brighton or catering at weddings, large festivals or sporting events across the UK. We want our customers to feel at ease, have fun and leave wanting more every time!
Based in the bustling city of Brighton, that some might say is the best place in the UK for both food and culture, SPACE + THYME has built a solid reputation across the south coast for providing the very best of what hospitality has to offer.
In the centre of the Lanes district, The Black Lion
and The Mesmerist
are two of our pubs/bars that are well known for their friendly staff, lively atmosphere, great food offering and delicious cocktails and drinks!
Our latest joint-venture, also in the Lanes, is a café, bar and restaurant called Post House
in the original post master's cottage dating back to the 1870s. And last but not least, nestled amongst the yachts and boats in Brighton's marina is The Watershed at Brighton Marina Yacht Club, our floating bar and restaurant that rises and falls with the tides, offering guests a relaxing place to eat, drink and socialise.

are a few of the large scale and well known events that we manage the catering and bar services at. We also provide tailored catering for anything from intimate dinner parties and weddings, to corporate events and other large outdoor festivals!

Bar Staff
The bar team are an integral part of our operation at any of our venues or events. You are one of the first people that our customers see as they walk through the door, so you will need to greet every customer with a friendly smile and a warm welcome.
Once our customers are in and enjoying the vibe of our bars, it’s up to you to turn on the charm and get them excited for what’s to come next, a wide variety of drinks, unique cocktails and delicious food!
We need you to be target driven and results focused, have a keen eye for detail, work efficiently and communicate effectively with the bar, management and kitchen team.
Most importantly we want you to have FUN at work, yes FUN! If our customers see our teams having a great time at work, they will have a great time in our venues or at our events. It’s all about creating an atmosphere, where people want to return again and again!
Kitchen Staff
As a member of our kitchen team, you’ll love working as part of a fun team in a busy kitchen.
We have opportunities for all levels of chefs, enabling you to grow and develop within your career.
Each of our kitchens offers something unique, whether that be flavours from the Deep South, true British classics or a spin on some great pub grub! The weddings, festivals and other events we cater at are all unique - no two events are the same!
All of our dishes are created by our talented team of chefs, from scratch using fresh quality ingredients from local suppliers.
